Remove Pages deletes the pages you select and rebuilds the PDF from what is left. Blank scanner pages, cover sheets and duplicate pages disappear in a couple of clicks. The remaining pages keep their original size, rotation and content.

When removing beats extracting
Removing pages rebuilds the document without the ones you named. It produces the same kind of result as extraction — a new file, source untouched — and which you reach for is purely a question of which list is shorter.
That is not a trivial point. Every page number you type is a chance to type the wrong one, so if you want to keep 47 pages out of 50, naming the three you do not want is both faster and considerably safer than listing the forty-seven you do.
A worked example
A 52-page scan has a blank sheet after every document: pages 7, 14, 22, 31, 39 and 48. Listing those six removes them in one pass. Note the page numbers before you start rather than deleting one at a time — each deletion renumbers everything after it, so a page-by-page approach means recounting after every step.
Limitations worth knowing
- Deletions are applied to the original numbering in one pass, so list every page you want gone before running it rather than removing them one at a time.
- Bookmarks that pointed at removed pages are dropped; the rest of the outline is not rebuilt.
- Ranges are inclusive at both ends.
- You cannot remove every page — a PDF must contain at least one.
- The source file is never modified, so recovering from a mistake means running it again from the original.
